Spurs have called off the chase for Wilfried Zaha
Tottenham have ended interest in Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, according to Sky sources.
Zaha met with Palace manager Alan Pardew earlier this month and told him he wanted to leave. But Palace rejected the £15m bid immediately and with no offer on the table, Zaha now looks set to stay at Selhurst Park.
Zaha made his name at Palace, breaking into the first team from their academy in 2010.
He returned to Palace in August 2014 on a season-long loan, before rejoining the club on a permanent basis in February 2015. He made 43 appearances for the Eagles in all competitions last season, scoring five goals and contributing seven assists.
New signing Christian Benteke, who is currently on international duty with Belgium, told Sky Sports News HQ Zaha is an influential player at the club.
"He's such a big player for us and important as well," he said.
"The club will do everything they can to keep him in the team."
