Chelsea’s searching for defenders has taken them to Italy.
But while that may not surprise you too much the defender in question certainly will.
The Telegraph are reporting that Antonio Conte is looking at former Bolton and Sunderland left-back Marcos Alonso.
Alonso, now at Fiorentina, figures to plug the gap left by several defensive injuries already this season.
Chelsea remain keen on centre backs though with Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly chief among them.
